I Had A Rash Under My Breast, Perhaps Related To

I had a rash under my breast, perhaps related to detergent and made worse by heat. The area has become inflmamed and a sore has been created on both breast. I have been treating with over the counter steriod creams and antibiotic ointments. This has persisted for over two weeks, while the rash has improved the sores are taking longer.
the area around the sores is red. Should I continue or seek medical assistance. I am concerned about infection. (note I had a mamogram on 9/6 that was normal)
