I Had A Right Hip Replacement 9 Years Ago That

I had a right hip replacement 9 years ago that left my left leg 3/4" shorter than my right. Since then, I have had meniscus surgery on my left knee, and I do get hip injections every 4 months for my left hip, that eventually will need to be replaced. When I get this shots, my left hip and knee feel fine, but when I do an athletic activity such as tennis, I have pain and discomfort on the outside portion of my knee extending a bit below the knee cap. Can this be caused by my hip osteoarthritis, or is this a problem associated with my meniscus surgery last year. Thank you. As I said, all is well after I receive a shot, at least for a while.
