I Had A Rod Placed In My Femur The End

I had a rod placed in my femur the end of September. The bone is beginning to build at the site of the break. Been going to therapy. What are the do' s and don'ts for therapy. I had some cramping and now some sharp pain off and on in the area of the break when walking. Should I be concerned?
