I Had A Root Canaled Tooth That Re-abscessed Under The

I had a root canaled tooth that re-abscessed under the root about 3 weeks ago. The jaw was swelled and I developed pain in my ear and my neck on the same side as the abscessed tooth. My dentist sent me to an Edodontist who thought she could save the tooth so drilled into the crown and re-worked the root canal. The swelling and pain persisted so she sent me to an oral surgeon 7 days ago to have the tooth extracted. My gums are still swollen where the tooth and infection was, my ear still hurts as does my neck. Should I still be having pain from an abscess that was taken care of a week ago? I have RA as well. Thanks.
