I Had A Routine Colonoscopy Last Friday. I Took Suprep.

I had a routine colonoscopy last Friday. I took Suprep. The next day I was taken to the hospital with high blood pressure, dizziness and palpitations that lasted 6 hours. I've never had high blood pressure before. I'm a 62 yr old healthy female. After last Saturday I've had two more episodes of high blood pressure, last Monday and today. The internist I saw last Monday prescribed Norvasc (genetic) 2.5 mg. I did not take them on Monday because my pressure got back to normal from 167/79
115/72 without the medicine. Since Tuesday I am taking my blood pressure but not the medication until today. It went up to 172/79 and had to take 5 mgs to feel better. My hands and legs get cold, I feel dizzy and have palpitations when the blood pressure increases. This all started after the colonoscopy last Friday. Can It be related or was it a coincidence ? The Gastro says it's not related, but I read about Supreps secondary effects. Any insight on my condition? I will visit a Cardiologist next week . Thanks Margie
