I Had A Small Abscess Lanced On Thursday That Is

I had a small abscess lanced on Thursday that is located just on the top of my labia as a result of poor shaving. It was lanced and hardly any pus came out, just blood. It was packed with a tiny bit of packing and the packing came out overnight because the doctor never covered it up. Yet the area is not draining any more and is still hard and a little red, but is not got to the touch. It's just a small area that is hard. My question is this: Is it normal that the area around the abscess is still hard to the touch 2 days after being lanced?
