I Had A Small Bowel Resection In Nov 2014. Since

I had a small bowel resection in Nov 2014. Since then I have a problem with bread products, from a sandwich to pizza crust. I get a uncomfortable feeling from my sternum to between my shoulder blades and elevated heart rate, I also find it very uncomfortable to sit (except when leaning forward) and lay down. Usually the discomfort gets easier to deal with after a few good burps, but that isn't anything I can count on.
Could I have developed an intolerance to gluten or is it something else?
