I had a spinal tap this past Feb., requiring me to receive a blood patch. During the blood patch procedure, the doctor had trouble locating my spinal fluid sac, and scraped around with the needle until he did find it. The relief wasn't immediate, but I did start to finally feel better. This past month, I have had pain in the area of my spinal tap which spreads to my left thigh. I can't be on my feet for more than an hour before it feels like burning coals and stabbing and twisting knives are inside my thigh. With every step I take, I have sharp, shooting pains inside my thigh. I have to do a lot of standing and walking at work. I consider myself pretty tough, but by the end of my shift, I'm in tears from the pain.
