I Had A Surgeon Start Arthoscopic Knee Surgery For Knee

I had a surgeon start arthoscopic knee surgery for knee pain and before he had done anything he moved my leg and it broke just above the knee. I had identified I T as a problem before but it had not been recognized by this surgeon. My question is, could the I T have been so tight that it contributed to the one break?
