Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a thyroid ultrasound that showed a 34 x 22 x 21 mm solid, homogenious nodule with a tiny cystic area. Central and peripheral vascularity is present. I then had a biopsy with Affirma testing. Biopsy came back indeterminate with atypia.
Affirma test came back at 40% suspicious. I'm trying to figure out if I should 1) wait and redo a biopsy, possibly with Assurant test 2) have the surgery to remove my thyroid 3) something else?
