I Had A Very Hard Impact To My Right Arm

I had a very hard impact to my right arm and shoulder. I can still move everything. It has been 1 full week since the accident. The pain with arm movement is slowly getting better but is still very sore to the touch. I expected a spectacular bruise but there was none. Is that normal?
