I Had A What I Thought Was An Age Spot

I had a what I thought was an age spot removed,only to find out it was a squismish cell. It was on my upper (inside) of my leg. I went back to the doctor after it had healed and she doesn't want to see me for 6 months, do you think that is a long time to wait. I have no other spots.
