I Had A Yeast Infection Prior To My Last Period

I had a yeast infection prior to my last period where I experienced severe itching. I took the 3-day treatment if Canestan and, while I still had itching through the period in which I used the cream, it stopped after the 3rd day.
I had my period shortly after, and a few days after my period ended, I felt mild itching first on the inner labia and then eventually inside the vagina.
I tried 6 days of eating and inserting plain yogurt and found gradual reduction of the symptoms. On the 6th day, I also protected sex (condom), and by the next day I felt more of the mild itching again.
I felt the need to briefly scratch the inside of my vagina with piece of toilet paper. I think I was not gentle enough, as there were tiny spots of blood on the paper when I dabbed the area (this happene when I had the infection before more period, too).
I have no odor, barely any discharge - just a mild itch.
Is this a yeast infection? Vaginitis? Something else? Is there anything I can use to treat it now, or should I go to the doctor?
I really appreciate your help.
