I Had Acdf Surgery 5 Days Ago. The Pain In

I had acdf surgery 5 days ago. The pain in my upper arm (right) almost renders me unable to use it. I have taken the pain killers, and the flexeril. Its not working, and when it wears off...holy smokes. Additionally I have a 100 degree fever since I came home. Maybe thats a reaction to the surgery. I am very uncomfortable when awake. I cannot swallow, so sipping tea or water is almost impossible. I wear the collar all the time, even when sleeping, but with the fever, it's getting pretty icky. is there a better collar? I have just the foam one.
