I Had An Abdominal Myomectomy For Two Two Centimeter Fibroids

I had an Abdominal Myomectomy for two two centimeter fibroids on my uterus in 2011. I was 44yrs old. My periods became more and more scarce after 1yr., and now I have none. Is this common, because I wanted another child and if the surgeon would've told me that I would no longer have a period I would've opted out.
