I Had An Abortion 2 Years Ago, After The D&C

I had an abortion 2 years ago, after the D&C process the doctor inserted cotton wool inside my viginal which I later couldn't found later. I am confuse and scare I don't know if the cotton wool is still inside me. I av been trying baby making now for almost a year. pls help
