I Had An Anal Skin Tag Removed 3 Days Ago,

I had an anal skin tag removed 3 days ago, since then it has been even larger than before, swollen and very hard! My surgeon said she did remove it and that swelling is normal, but how long should I expect this swelling to continue before I should see it hopefully go away?
