Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an appendectomy 4 days ago. The last two days I have had this burning pain underneath my skin, adjacent to my lowest incision. The pain burns like RAW skin would but there is nothing there. I do not see any signs of infection, no fever, etc. I called my dr.s office and was told to take 800 mg motrin. This has not helped. Do you know what would cause this burning and will it go away eventually? It is better if I sit. When I stand it intensifies. If I push on that area when I stand then the pain lessens. HELP
