I Had An Appendectomy On Sunday Evening And It Stings

I had an appendectomy on Sunday evening and it stings when I pass urine now (Tue evening) - is this normal and just part of the healing process after keyhole surgery. In addition to the appendectomy, the medical team also had a good look around and checked my ovaries etc.
