I Had An Appendectomy Operation 2days Ago. A Gas Was

I had an appendectomy operation 2days ago. A gas was out in 12hrs after the operation and I started taking fluids. I'm now discharged and at home. However, my stomach is still swelling and filling discomfort. For how long does this sustain and what should I do? Thank you.
