I Had An Ectopic Pregnancy And Lost My Right Tube

I had an ectopic pregnancy and lost my right tube in December. I was just told I had a miscarriage, but I feel like the pain was on the same side. Why would I have pain on same side and what is the difference this time from December. I am confused how I can have a ectopic then a miscarriage.
