I Had An Endoscopy And Colonoscopy And It Said I

I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy and it said I have mild gastritis not caused by bacteria. The letter said I could take an over the counter Ppi but I'm not experiencing heartburn. My bowels movements have been happening more often and sometimes they are not solid. I have also had a lot of gas especially when I get up from laying down. I can hear my stomach too. Are these normal symptoms for gastritis and should I be taking a Ppi even though I don't have heartburn ?
