I Had An Implant Put In.. Stage One Almost A

I had an implant put in.. Stage one almost a week ago. My Essex retainer puts some pressure on my gum in the affected site and I'm worried it could damage the implant. I just don't want it to fail but i have to take some pictures tomorrow and get brunch for Mother's Day and I don't want to not have teeth... Will I be okay wearing it for a day or so until I can go to the orthodontist?
