I Had An Infusion Last Week, It Was My First

I had an infusion last week, it was my first infusion. The nurse attempted to access a vein in my fore arm and was unsuccessful, so she chose to use a site that was lower on my are and was successful using this new site. Now the original site is dark blue with a red center. If there was part of the medication that leaked into this site, could this cause sluffing of the tissue at this site?
