I had another colonoscopy today, June 19th. Last Dec I had one also. I have had diareah and bladder incontinence since Oct 2016 when I had a knee replacement and also a stroke at the same time. The doctors have tried many tests to determine why the stool is runny all the time since. Bacteria was found with a breath test. No problems found with many stool tests. When taking an antiobotic for the breath test for 10 days, I had no bowel movement at all. A few days after the antiobotices wore off, I had diareah again. Pepto Bismal the last couple weeks helped some. Taken morning and night, It would make it take some shape instead of pure running out. I has been very normal for me to eat a little, and within 1/2 hour go to the bathroom with direah. I have also found floating with the direah my hard pills I have taken that morning or evening. If they are not quick acting release pills, they come out whole.
The colonoscopy in Dec removed 7 pre cancerous polops, granular molesct, and finally a kink after in the procedure for 3 hours. The one today found 2 precancerous polops and hemorrhoids, and melanosis. The doctor said it was caused by taking laxatives. I absolutely do not take laxatives. Looking up the word on the computer, it says it could be caused by iron. I have been taking iron pills since 2015 when I was anemic before my first knee surgery. I take 325 mg per the doctor and my numbers went up from a 7 to a 14 now almost 3 years later. my colonoscopy doctor today told me to get off all my unprescribed medicines. I take diltiazem 240, for blood pressure, propapone 225 for heart rhythm, citalopram 49 for depression, lisinopal-10 for blood pressure since my stroke, and alendronate sodium 70.
The over the counter drugs I am taking per several doctors requests are D3-2000, iron-325, e-400, b12-1000, Potassium-99, Lutein-20. I also take 2 #81 asperin per day (one morning and one night). Do you think I should quit taking all the over the counter drugs at once ?
