I Had Arthroscopic Knee Surgery 3 Weeks Ago, It Got

I had arthroscopic knee surgery 3 weeks ago, it got infected last week, antibiotics releived the pain, swelling, redness. Now, my ankle and foot are swoleen - have not been the past 3 weeks. I woke up with swollen area. What causes? What can I do to relieve this?
