I Had Been On Xanax 1 Mg For 20 Yrs

I had been on Xanax 1 mg for 20 yrs or more. I started weening myself off as of August 29th of this year, I am still having difficulty and experiencing horrible withdrawals. Today I wanted to sleep all day and felt bad. No energy. How long do these symptoms last. I am doing this all on my own. In the beginning I went to my doctor for her to check my blood pressure, etc. I started taking this in 1986 after a car wreck. I still take Norco 7.5 Mg and I want to eliminate that medicine also. the new doctor doesn't prescribe these meds. I have had a back and neck fusion. The fusion on my lower back was broken. I am on disability. How long do symptoms of xanax withdrawals last? Thank you.
