I Had Bumps On My Uvula, A Slight Sore Throat

I had bumps on my uvula, a slight sore throat and a swollen throat. I tried allergy medicine, vitamin C, honey, gargling with salt water, and an anti-inflammatory and a more alkaline diet. Culture came back negative for strep. I went to an ENT and did another culture and it came back positive for MRSA. I just finished 21 days of antibiotics, ENT said the back of my throat looks better and didn't do another culture for MRSA because he said it's not recommended since I took the medicine. He said I'm cured. But I still have the same bumps on my uvula (maybe more) and a slight sore throat. It's been 2 1/2 months. He said the bumps are not an issue. Could that be correct?
I've been told sometimes the medicine doesn't work.
