I Had Cataract Surgery On May 17th, And Have Been

I had cataract surgery on May 17th, and have been experiencing ongoing pain ever since, but most frustrating because my eye bleeds every night, and when I awaken in the morning, my eye feels heavy, swollen and it takes about two hours to dry out from the accumulation of blood. The opthalmologist who did the surgery does not know why this is happening. Is this common, and will it resolve or is it a sign of something wrong?
