Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had hammertoe surgery 8 weeks ago. I still have some pain and swelling. I didn't take the rest part too seriously. My doctor won't let me go back to work. I am on my feet, moving quickly for 8 - 9 hours. My other job involves standing and walking for about 3 hoursMy last job is teaching swimming. I think i can do this but my doctor has not written a return to work release. Every job needs a note from my doctor. Did I overdue it walking too soon. Over Christmas, I went to NYC and had to do some walking. I didn't walk as much as usual - for hours and hours visiting different NYC neighborhoods. I must admit getting on and off the bus was difficult and painful. The subway was extremely slow carefully placing my toe down. I guess I'm asking did I do too much too soon. Thank you.
