I Had Headache And Sore Eye Symptoms About One And

I had headache and sore eye symptoms about one and a half week ago. i went to my local eye doctor and he did not actually see shingles but thought thats what I had starting because of my symptoms, he put me on Valacyclovir. I am alsmost done with the dose and nothing further has developed. I still once in a while have the headache and dry eye. Will I get them once I am off the medicine?? Will things get worse?
