I Had Hernia Surgery 3 Weeks Ago And Now I

I had hernia surgery 3 weeks ago and now I have a baseball sized hard mass. Incision healed very nicely. But just to the left of my incision I get very bad pain. Pain that brings me to my knees. Saw surgeon for follow up and he just said it will go away. He also used mesh during the surgery. I am afraid that the mesh is loose because when the pain hits me it feels like you are scraping my insides. HELP!
