I Had Leukemia As A Child And They Said That

I had leukemia as a child and they said that they did experimental blood transfusions threw my spine and if they ever had to do anything on my spine, then I would become paralized . Do you have any idea of what they could have done to me ? This was probably around 1959 ? My doctor has no idea, and my spine is fusing together, plus a lot of other problems.
