I Had My Thyroid Removed In October, 2007 And My

I had my Thyroid removed in October, 2007 and my Gallbladder removed in February, 2008. Just in the past few days, I have had what felt like a rather hard nodule or lump in about the middle part of the roof of my mouth. Just all of the sudden appeared. I went to see my dentist today and he put me on an antibiotic and a pain medicine. Just this evening the nodule popped much like a large, painful pimple. Does any of this tie to each other somehow? Just concerned that this situation will continue to occur and would like to avoid it and know more about how and why it occurred.
