I Had My Apiecotomy Surgery On The Upper Tooth 2

I had my apiecotomy surgery on the upper tooth 2 weeks ago, when the stitches were cut off 4 days ago, the doctor did not tell me what the skin suppose to be like, I assumed it should growing back, but today he told me it should peel off after 10 days? Is my surgery successful or not? Thanks
