I Had My Appendix Out Sunday And Still Have Not

I had my appendix out Sunday and still have not had a bowel movement even with taking laxatives and prune juice. But I have a burning sensation on left side not where the incision is but it the right of it. I was told this is normal what is causing this burning sensation especially when I cough.
