I Had My Appendix Removed Almost 8 Years Ago And

I had my appendix removed almost 8 years ago and according to web md I am showing signs of appendicitis. I have a constant dull pain with periodic sharp pains near my belly button on the right side. I have also had a lot of cramping and recently ended my menstrual cycle I am not pregnant and other then constant pain the varies in severity. I did recently have a hernia removed about 11 months ago above my navel but I went for follow up and surgeon said everything with the surgery was fine. What could be wrong? don't want to sit at the ER for hours if not necessary.
