I Had My Appendix Removed Two Days Ago...I Have The

I had my appendix removed two days ago...I have the usual signs of recovery however, I'm unsure about the severe rumbling in my abdominal area...it's not painful but a little disconcerting. The only time I've every felt this type of rumble was right before explosive diarrhea. So far, nothing really follows the rumbles but they continue on a ongoing basis and are often so loud that my wife can hear them a room away.
I am concerned that something is going wrong...infection, scar tissue?
Is this normal or is my concern be warranted?
