I Had My Gall Bladder Removed A Couple Years Ago,

I had my gall bladder removed a couple years ago, I was experiencing occasional cramp like pain in my side and lower back. The Dr, upon doing a follow up examination mentioned he noticed my liver looked alittle yellowish as he was doing the surgery. I didn't think about asking him if the yellowish color indicated I had mild liver disease, caused by my defective gall bladder. And with its removal my liver would recover, or would it likely get worse?
