I Had My Ovaries Out In February As A Preventative

I had my ovaries out in February as a preventative measure. On May 25 i had what seemed like a regular period. Had a sonogram today to check the lining of uterus and it is thick. Cant talk to Dr til Thurs. Any ideas what might be the problem or causing this? I am 51 yrs old Thanks.
