I Had Open Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery A Week And

I had open carpal tunnel release surgery a week and a half ago. I am scheduled to have my stitches removed on Wednesday but am mildly concerned that a) the stitches are not uniform and b) the stitches which I thought looked strange to start with are healing over on one side and now essentially embedded in my hand. Is it typical to use multiple types of stitches on such a short incision (about 1 inch) and is it bad that the skin has grown over 2 of them. I can attach a picture if there is an option to do that on this site.
