I Had Rotator Cuff Surgery With Acromioplasty 2 Months Ago.

I had rotator cuff surgery with acromioplasty 2 months ago. Had a nerve block. My index finger feels like a popped a blood vessel, my forearm is numb down to the butt of my hand, and my outside upper arm is numb. My whole arm and fingers swell and ache with burning and occational stabbing pain. Nerve conduction study was done and Dr. doing it told me something was not right but didn't know how it could be fixed and said he would suggest gabapentin for pain. Went to f/u with orthepod today and he tells me nerve conduction study was normal. told me my arm "is not swollen now" even though it was obvious that my fingers and arm were swollen and he was going to put me on gabapentin and send me to a pain Dr. From what i'm reading on line this seems to happen all the time yet he's acting like i'm making it up. Why is this happening and how do I fix it. It completely goes to sleep when I sleep.
