I Had Scabies Treatment About 6 Weeks Ago (5% Permethrin

I had scabies treatment about 6 weeks ago (5% permethrin cream) with second preventive treatment six days after initial treatment. I began to feel better, but have since experienced occasional periods of increased skin crawling and pin prick/biting sensations. About 3 weeks post treatment I had a few itchy bumps that showed up one at a time but lasted only for about a day and then cleared up. This week, again 6 weeks after first treatment, I am feel particularly strong sensations of skin crawling and very sensitive scalp.

Is this likely just post scabies symptoms? Or something else?
