I Had Shoulder Surgery Almost 2 Yrs Ago. They Put

I had shoulder surgery almost 2 yrs ago. They put the tube down my throat. Well over 2 weeks later my throat still hurt. Now I have been dealing with a sore throat the is around the thyroid area on a daily basis. Some days the pain is worse and some days its mild but its always there. I had my blood tested on the thyroid, they did a tSH and said everything looked normal. I don't know why it is sore. When I have a deep cough it feels like my whole neck/throat is going to blow up. What is going on? Thank in advance!
