I Had Some Mineral Spirits On My Fingers From Redoing

I had some mineral spirits on my fingers from redoing my wood floors then went to the bathroom carelessly and got a little bit on penis. This was a month or so ago I thought the red burn area would go away over time but didnt. I just started using lotrimin ultra a few days ago and it's starting to flake off here and there. Is this the right thing to do. Or is there anything else to speed the process up
