I Had Someone Grab My Left Arm When Slipping Getting

I had someone grab my left arm when slipping getting on a Catamaran in April. It has continued to get more painful in shoulder area. I had an xray and they said nothing broken and no soft tissue damage which I thought you could only see on an MRI. It is painful when lifting my arm to the side or behind me. I can lift it straight forward without discomfort?
