I Had Something Feel Like Muscle Tissue Or Something Pop

I had something feel like muscle tissue or something pop in my neck near my throat
After that I have discomfort swallowing .
I have no sore throat or irritation but it feels like a knot when I swallow. The only pain that I feel is when I touch my Adams apple externally... Please tell me what this can be? Nicholas
