I Had Strep For A Month With Multiple Trips To

I had strep for a month with multiple trips to the doctor. Went back for a check up and the culture says it's negative for strep, but my tonsils still have white spots and are swollen, along with the back of my throat being red. Could it just be taking a while before the illness goes away?
