I Had Strep Throat Last Month. At First I Didn't

I had strep throat last month. At first I didn't know I had it. Never had sore throat. Had chills one night. Rash (painful) from head to toe the next day. Fatigue, muscles were sore in legs & a headache. Went to ER, strep tested negative then 3 days later culture came back positive. I'm starting to get same headache feeling. Could this be same thing returning? Should I go get a strep test without other symptoms returning? I don't want to be sick for the holidays :(
