I had surgery 11 days ago. The doctor inserted the IV catheter into the vein on my hand and the end of the catheter was at the wrist. It hurt and I told him so. Ever since then I have had intermittent pain in my hand, usually upon movement and from the medial aspect of my hand to the lateral aspect. It can be sharp or dull or almost numbing. Right now my little finger is a little numb.
